Winne Wong, Ms

PhD candidate at University of Plymouth

Winne Wong is a full-time mother at home, a part-time teacher at work, and a full-time PhD candidate at her university. Her research focuses on writing and storytelling as a research method as she re-visits, re-thinks and re-imagines teaching as a caring, hopeful practice full of detours and distractions. Pushing back against the notions of linearity and causality, her thesis is an effort to capture moments that schooling, as we know it, tends to overlook. She recently transferred from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland to the Institute of Education of the University of Plymouth to complete her thesis.
