Warwick Mansell is a freelance education journalist. Having begun his career in local
journalism at the Cambridge Evening News in 1995, he then spent nine years at the
Times Educational Supplement, the last six of which were as the paper’s curriculum,
assessment and accountability specialist. Since 2008, he has been a freelancer,
writing regularly for the Guardian’s education pages. Since 2010, he has also been
the press officer for BERA’s annual conference.
