Tom Anderson is Head of Research and Statistics at Qualifications Wales, the independent regulator of non-degree qualifications in Wales. He oversees a team of researchers and statisticians that support policy and regulatory colleagues in qualification review and reform activity, and he helps to oversee the awarding of GCSE and A level results in Wales each year. Prior to working at Qualifications Wales, Tom worked in social research for 13 years and was a member of the Government Social Research profession at the Office for National Statistics. Outside of work he is Dad to two children and enjoys sport including running and (stubbornly refusing to retire from) football.
