Tasnima Aktar is a Lecturer in Academic Writing and Study Skills at Global Banking School (with Leeds Trinity University partnership) and an Associate Lecturer in TESOL at the University of Glasgow. She earned her PhD in TESOL from the University of York with Commonwealth Scholarship UK. She is also an AdvanceHE Associate Fellow and holds a Cambridge CELTA. She has been teaching in the UK and Bangladesh (former Associate Professor at Comilla University) for 15 years now. She is a researcher with 10 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include teacher professional development, practitioner research, teaching-research nexus, metacognition and EFL listening.
