Tania is currently researching the experiences of young people, practitioners and policy influencers in relation to youth impact and accountability mechanisms in youth work, with Louise Doherty. Her previous research investigated the perceptions of part-time and volunteer youth workers in a changing policy context – her book based on this study, Grassroots Youth Work: Policy, Passion and Resistance in Practice, was published by Policy Press in 2016. She was a community-based youth worker for over twenty years and remains engaged in youth work as a volunteer.
