Simon Lam’s professional work has centred around his vocation of teaching, the education system and supporting young people from the early years right up to university age. His wide range of experiences within the sector has additionally included roles in youth and community work, tutoring, supporting SEND pupils and mentoring students from disadvantaged backgrounds. He holds a BEd degree in primary bilingual education and an MA degree in education policy.
Outside of education, Simon has also spent nearly two years in political campaigning and advocacy as a parliamentary assistant for a London MP during the pandemic. Most recently, he has pivoted into the world of creative content and cultural strategy for brands in the music industry, with an ongoing mission to highlight the stories and contributions of marginalised people within culture and the arts. He is currently an engagement associate at the Centre for Education and Youth.
