Dr Shirley Gray is a senior lecturer in Physical Education at the University of Edinburgh. Her research explores how teachers understand and enact curriculum policy, and how they might be supported to provide their students with positive learning experiences in physical education. More specifically, she is involved in research projects related to: the health and wellbeing curriculum; physical education curricula and pedagogy across the four nations of the UK; embodiment in physical education; and trauma-aware practice.
