Dr. Shannon Mason is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at Nagasaki University in Japan, and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Murdoch University in Australia. Her research interests in education cover a range of themes from P-12 to PhD, with a central interest in the lived experiences of beginning and established teachers and researchers & the policies, processes and practices that influence them. Recent studies have focused on the experiences of doctoral students engaging in the scholarly publishing process, Early Career Researchers and their research dissemination practices, and the use of Academic Social Networks in promoting international networks.
