Selar Othman Ali, Dr

Selar is a lecturer at Erbil Polytechnic University. She has a PhD in Education (higher education reform policy) from the University of Southampton (2017) and Master’s in Education (effective teambuilding in higher education) from the University of Nottingham (2008). She was assigned to several vacancies and responsibilities, such as head of grants and funds, cultural relations, training center, scholarships and delegation, international office at universities and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRI), Erasmus+ project manager, consultant (short-term) for a UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning project, trainer, researcher, event moderator, and facilitator. She is also a country representative for Imperial English UK (IEUK). Selar is a member of the Kurdistan Accrediting Association of Education since 2022. She has taught several program modules in public and private universities in the KRI and has joined several international academic activities abroad. Her research interests are HE reform, QA and accreditation of HE, internationalization of HE, and educational development and consultancy.
