Sarah O’Neill is a qualified languages teacher (CELTA, PGCE) and PhD research student in modern language education policy at Queen’s University Belfast. Her PhD is entitled: ‘Developing CLIL-informed Policy and Practice in Language Education’. She has taught English, French and German to children aged 5 to 18 in mainstream, international and charity sector schools, as well as working as a teacher of adults seeking refugee status and as a university course tutor. Her research investigates the policy traction of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) within the UK and Ireland.
