Samantha O’Sullivan, EdD candidate at UCL (in the Institute of Education). In the fifth year of my doctorate. My key interest lies in the wellbeing of teachers, with the hope that work from my thesis can improve the wellbeing literacy of the stakeholders in our education system, with either further research, or going back into schools to support headteachers in creating wellbeing strategies that nurture their staff. I was a primary school teacher for many years. And now I am a PGTA at the IoE, on the Living in a Schooled Society module of the BA Education, Society and Culture course, which keeps me in touch with teaching. Outside of academia, I am a mother of two, and I am learning to play tennis, terribly.
