Richard Hall is Professor of Education and Technology at De Montfort University. He is an Advance HE National Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow, and with the Decolonising DMU team he won a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence. He is the author of The Hopeless University: Intellectual Work at The End of The End of History (Mayfly Books, 2021), and The Alienated Academic: The Struggle for Autonomy Inside the University (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). Richard is the series editor for Palgrave Macmillan's Marxism and Education book series. An independent visitor for a looked-after child, he is also a governor of the Leicester Primary Pupil Referral Unit. Richard writes about life in higher education at http://richard-hall.org
