Richard Hall is Professor of Education and Technology at De Montfort University. A National Teaching Fellow, Richard directs the research and evaluation work of the Decolonising DMU project. He is the author of The Hopeless University: Intellectual Work at The End of The End of History (Mayfly Books, 2021), and The Alienated Academic: The Struggle for Autonomy Inside the University (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). Richard is the series editor for Palgrave Macmillan's Marxism and Education book series. An independent visitor for a looked-after child, he is also a governor of the Leicester Primary Pupil Referral Unit. Richard writes about life in higher education at http://richard-hall.org
