Pier-Luc Dupont, Dr

Lecturer in Identity Politics at Swansea University

Pier-Luc Dupont is a research associate at the University of Bristol School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies, where he has worked for the Horizon 2020 project ETHOS – Toward a European theory of justice and fairness and is currently working for the HERA-funded project PLURISPACE – Negotiating diversity in expanded European public spaces. He has convened the bodies, borders, justice research challenge for the cross-faculty research institute Migration Mobilities Bristol. He has a PhD in human rights, democracy and international justice (University of Valencia), an MSc in migration studies (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, Catholic University of Lille, University of Valencia) and a BA in international studies and modern languages (Laval University). His doctoral research, conducted at the University of Valencia Human Rights Institute and supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education, examined the interplay between internationally recognised equality rights, public policies and racism in the European context.
