Philly Iglehart, Dr

Philly Iglehart is a second-year doctoral student at Plymouth Marjon University. She is interested in place-based challenges affecting school improvement, particularly in rural and coastal areas; social justice in education; schools serving disadvantaged communities; teacher supply; and education policymaking. Her background spans a number of areas, including historical research, academic copyediting, teaching, tutoring, education social work and the family courts. Philly leads a GuildHE student support group, is the postgraduate representative on the University’s ethics panel, and is interested in improving research impact culture. She has published recently on teacher supply (co-authored, in The Palgrave Handbook of Teacher Education Research) and the Early Career Framework (in The Early Career Framework: Origins, Outcomes and Opportunities, published by John Catt).
