Person
Pete Wright is currently Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Dundee. He teaches on various ITE/education programmes at undergraduate/postgraduate/doctoral levels. He is module leader for 'Reflecting Upon Practice' and 'Action Research'.
Pete was previously at UCL Institute of Education from 2011 to 2022, during which he was programme leader for Teach First Maths, PGCE Maths and MA in Maths Education. He was also Book Reviews Editor, then Assistant Editor, for the London Review of Education journal.
Prior to that, Pete taught maths for 12 years in comprehensive schools in London, Newcastle and Brighton, and for 3 years in Kenya. Other roles include working for a curriculum development project and local authority maths consultant.
Pete’s research interests include curriculum change, equity and social justice, maths education and participatory action research. He has led several collaborative research projects with teachers, the findings of which have been published widely.
