Ola Demkowicz is a senior lecturer in Psychology of Education at the Manchester Institute of Education, University of Manchester. She researches adolescent mental health with a particular focus on the contexts and mechanisms that contribute to the emergence of difficulties, as well as on school as a context for adolescent development and mental health. Ola is a mixed methods researcher who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods and has a particular interest in ethical and social responsibilities in research with children and young people. She has been based at the Manchester Institute of Education since 2016 and co-convenes the Education and Psychology research and scholarship group and the department’s Qualitative Network.
