Teaching Fellow in Educational Leadership at University of Strathclyde

Nova Lauder-Scott is a Teaching Fellow in Educational Leadership in the Institute of Education, University of Strathclyde. Nova is also the Course Leader for the Into Headship programme at Strathclyde. Nova’s research concerns the ways in which head teachers experience teachers who are adept at dealing with children who display distressed behaviour. Her EdD thesis aims to explore head teachers’ tacit knowledge and implicit perceptions of teacher qualities, attitudes and dispositions. She is also interested in using practitioner research as a model for school leaders to develop a research-led approach to practice.
