Mike Brown PhD is associate professor of outdoor learning in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. He is interested in place-responsive pedagogy and human-nature relationships. He is the co-author of A Pedagogy of Place and Adventurous Learning, and has edited several books examining our relationship with the sea.
