Dr Michelle O’Toole is a senior lecturer in Organisation Studies and head of the Organisation Studies group at the University of Edinburgh. Her research is about people’s lived experiences of their work and workplaces and has been published in top-tier journals such as Organization Studies, Human Relations, Work, Employment and Society and the Journal of Management Inquiry and funded by the ESRC, British Academy of Management and Royal Society of Edinburgh. Concerned about the rising levels of mental health difficulties among university students, she is a founding member of ScotSMART (The Scottish Student Mental Health Research Network).
