Melissa Jacobi is the Head of Academic Advising at Sheffield Hallam University where her role also includes responsibility for the academic developers in the academic development and inclusion team based in the student experience teaching and learning directorate (SETL). Prior to joining SETL in 2018 to take on institutional leadership of academic advising, Melissa was a Senior Lecturer in the Academy of Sport where she was Course Leader for the sport business management degree and specialised in teaching management and leadership, project management and operations management. Melissa has been closely involved with UK Advising and Tutoring (UKAT) where she was, until recently, the membership and onboarding lead.
