Marianne Talbot is a post-transfer PGR in the School of Education at the University of Leeds. Following a career as a civil servant and independent researcher, Marianne is researching the impact of qualifying as a Chartered Educational Assessor on teachers' assessment practice. Alongside this PhD research, Marianne is interested in autoethnography and documenting her journey to becoming a researcher, as well as being an Academic Personal Mentor at the University of Leeds and Visiting Lecturer at Leeds Trinity University. Marianne is also a member of the editorial team for Hillary Place Papers, the community academic journal for the School of Education at the University of Leeds, where she is part of the team researching collective academic development.
