Maria is a graduate of the Bachelor of Technology (Education) in Materials and Architectural Technology programme from the University of Limerick. She is a qualified post primary teacher of Wood Technology, Construction Studies, Technology and Design & Communication Graphics. Maria is now a University Teacher in Technology Education, teaching on the undergraduate and PME teacher education programmes. Maria is also undertaking a PhD at the University of Limerick. Her research focus is in the area of students with additional educational needs in technology education.
