Lindsey Watson is a Senior Lecturer within the School of Business, Education and Law at the University of Huddersfield. She is interested in children’s participation and children’s multimodal languages. Her recent research includes exploring younger children’s experiences with digital technology, employing creative methods to further understand and centralise children’s ways of knowing and what this means for their digital identity. Lindsey completed her PhD in 2023, titled ‘Visualising Younger Children’s Perspectives on Digital Technology and Ethical Decision-Making’. She has an ongoing interest in the ephemeral ‘noticings’ of children’s ongoing assent during research, adopting arts-based methods to visualise their ‘in-the-moment’ ethical decision-making, framing them as capable research participants.
