Katrina Lawrence-Honeycombe, Ms

Katrina Lawrence-Honeycombe is a PhD researcher exploring gender equality policy at the Faculty of Education, University of Melbourne. She is interested in understanding how non-governmental institutions can influence the contextualisation, development and framing of gender equality initiatives, frameworks and discourses within the education fields of Australia and the United Kingdom. Prior to this research, Katrina completed a Master’s in Women’s Studies at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, with a thesis that explored the representation of femininity in postmodern feminist fairy tales. Her research interests include gender, sexuality, feminism and the history of feminism, fairy tales, women’s writing, popular culture, as well as policy development.
