Katie Pyne, Mrs

Katie Pyne is currently in part two of for her educational doctorate (EdD) at the University of the West of England. Her research looks at the way in which different teacher preparation routes influence the identity of early career teachers, using the biographical narrative interview method to hear the stories of those entering the teaching profession in England. Alongside her studies, Katie is a secondary school science teacher and has experience working in both state and independent schools, as well as alternative provision. In her current post she is the early career teacher induction tutor and the senior mentor for trainee teachers. With a keen interest in teacher development, she is now exploring the use of coaching to support early career teachers and those with newly appointed responsibilities.
