Julie Pearson is the course lead for the Primary PGCE (M) with a specialism in physical education at St Mary’s University, London. She is a doctoral supervisor, teaching on master’s modules and all initial teacher education modules related to primary PE. Julie is passionate about developing her core value of care as an essential aspect of curriculum design and educational practice, so that each person can be valued as a beautiful, unique and capable human being. She is involved in different aspects of policy and practice via her participation in local and international professional networks and her contributions to research and literature. Julie remains actively engaged with research from the European Primary Physical Education Network, Primary Physical Education Teacher Education Network and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for all aspects related to wellbeing, physical education, physical activity, family and community links.
