Dr Jo Townshend is an artist-leader-researcher working at the intersection of arts and education. As an independent researcher and consultant, she brings leadership and management experience from across cultural, school, college and university settings. Her research draws upon Deleuze and arts-based methods to investigate the possibilities of new materialist methodologies for (education) leadership. Jo is Chair of London’s Contemporary Visual Arts Network and Co-Founder of UCL Art Futures. She is a Trustee of the Blessed Foundation and Central Regions Schools Trust (previously RSA Academies Trust). Jo is an RSA Fellow and an alumna of Canterbury Christ Church University, Winchester School of Art and the Royal Academy of Arts, London.
