Jack Bryne Stothard is a Senior Lecturer in Postgraduate Studies, Assistant Programme Leader for the Doctorate of Education, Teacher Education Research and Innovation Cluster lead and Ethics Champion in the Institute of Education at the University of Derby. He also co-leads the Scholarly Working Group within the Public Services Research Theme at the University of Derby. He is a qualified teacher with more than 10 years’ experience in primary school settings, teaching across all three key stages. He has held a range of teaching and leadership positions and is particularly interested in the teaching of mathematics.
Dr Stothard’s work focusses around questioning the embedded assumptions surrounding educational structures and intentions. In particular, he focusses on innovative theoretical methodologies and how these can help critique and reimagine education and its institutions.
