Dr. Irina Usanova is the director of the research program “MARE – Multiliteracy as a Labour Market Resource” at the University of Hamburg, Germany. The program is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research from 2021 to 2026. She is an expert in Education Research and Applied Linguistics with a focus on language acquisition and development, bi- and multilingualism and the acquisition of multiple literacies. Irina Usanova was the main convenor of the research network “Language and Education” of the European Education Research Association (EERA).
