Inbanathan Naicker, Professor

Inbanathan (Inba) Naicker, is an Associate Professor and a National Research Foundation-rated researcher in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His scholarly interests encompass leadership development, leadership and identity, the contextualization of leadership, methodological inventiveness in educational leadership research, arts-based educational research, and self-reflexive inquiry. Inba has published extensively in reputable journals and edited volumes, and has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences. He has also guest-edited special issues of prominent journals, demonstrating his expertise and academic leadership in the field. Notably, he has successfully supervised over sixty PhD and MEd research projects, contributing significantly to the development of emerging scholars. Recent editorial endeavours include co-editing a special edition of Alternations, titled "Academic Identities as Epicentres for Social Cohesiveness in Higher Education," and a book titled "Arts-Based Educational Research Narratives of Academic Identities: Perspectives from Higher Education." Inba serves on the editorial committees of the Journal of Education and the South African Journal of Educational Leadership and Management. He is known for his collaborative endeavors with teacher unions, where he has facilitated school leadership development and school effectiveness initiatives.
