Dr Huahui Zhao is an Associate Professor in Language Education at the University of Leeds. Her research is centred around the intricate interplay between assessment and emerging technologies. She has successfully completed various funded projects and published on assessment in both traditional and technology-enhanced contexts. Currently, her passion lies in how GenAI shapes the process and product of student writing. She strives to generate research evidence to inform language and discipline education changes, addressing the evolving literacy practice in a GenAI-powered era.
