Hermione Paddle is an Australian, living in Germany and undertaking a PhD at the Institute of Education, University College London. Her supervisors are Sandra Leaton-Gray and Becky Taylor. Her research is exploring how international schools within Germany and Switzerland design and implement curriculum integration and interdisciplinary learning and the various factors that inhibit or facilitate the process. She has 10 years’ teaching experience, in literature and humanities, working in both international and government schools. She works in curriculum development for the International Baccalaureate, is associate editor of Literacy Learning in the Middle Years, and is on the editorial board of BERAs Curriculum Journal, focusing on ‘Curriculum in Professional Practice’.
