Dr Gaynor Legall is Chair of Tiger Bay and The World: Heritage Culture Exchange. . Gaynor Chaired the pioneering audit to challenge commemoration in Wales ‘The Slave Trade and The British Empire Report’ published by Welsh Government in 2021 with recommendations stirring a catalyst for change in monuments, museums and practice across Wales. Gaynor has long been a leader in race equality community activism and equal rights for women’s rights in Wales. Gaynor was a founder member of Wales historic and globally respected Anti-Apartheid movement. Gaynor was the first Black female Councillor in Wales. She has established a number voluntary organisations such as FullEmploy Wales and BAWSO the first Black domestic violence focused organisation in Wales.
