Emma Wainwright is a Professor in the Department of Education at Brunel University London. She is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a background in Human Geography and her research focuses on social and educational inequalities. In particular, her work explores: higher education, widening access, student poverty and precarity; family, parenting and home-school engagement; and, further education, lifelong learning and training for work. Much of Emma’s work engages low-income, marginalised and ‘hard to reach’ groups.
