Dr Ellen Larsen is a senior lecturer of Curriculum and Pedagogy in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an accredited HEA mentor. She works with preservice teachers in both undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education programmes and has been responsible for the implementation and coordination of large-scale programme accreditation processes. Ellen served on the Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA) Executive from 2020–22. She is currently on the Australian Association of Research in Education (AARE) Executive and the convenor for the AARE Teachers’ Work and Lives special interest group. Her body of research includes topics of teacher professional learning and mentoring, early career teachers, and their transition into the profession. Her scholarship projects focus on pedagogies for deep learning engagement in higher education.
