Deepti R Bhat, a second-year PhD researcher, is based at the School of Education, University of Bristol, United Kingdom. She is interested in understanding how students from an indigenous Adivasi community in India experience secondary education. Her research engages with decolonial and anti-caste perspectives, and involves co-creating pathways to epistemically just futures. Prior to her doctoral studies, she was as an educator in India for 10 years. She worked as a teacher at an Ashram school, a residential government school set up for children from Adivasi communities, and as an outdoor educator.
