Daniela Bacova, Dr

Senior Lecturer - Programme leader for EdD and PhD in Education at The University of Bolton

Dr. Daniela Bacova is currently a Programme Leader for doctorate studies in education at the University of Bolton, UK. She graduated from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, studying English and Slovak language and literature, and in 2004 she completed her doctorate on Caryl Churchill’s plays. Previously she was a lecturer at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra, Slovakia. During her professional career, she has been teaching a range of undergraduate subjects on teacher education programmes in Slovakia as well as in the UK, spanning from modern British theatre, feminism, teaching English as a Foreign English through drama and theatre to teaching research methodology on the postgraduate master’s and doctoral programmes in the UK. Her research interests are around teacher development, practitioner research, teacher identity, motivation, and agency. She is currently leading a collaborative research-practice partnership project between the University of Bolton
