Dr Clare McAuley is a PGCE Lecturer (History) at Ulster University. Her research interests include the role of education in promoting social cohesion; teaching History in contested societies; Citizenship education; teaching controversial and sensitive issues; and curriculum policy and practice. Clare is a former teacher of History and Citizenship education and History and Citizenship Officer at the Northern Ireland Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA).
