Chawin Pongpajon is a lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, training pre-service teachers. His interests focus on Thai language arts curriculum, pedagogy and assessment for Thai secondary levels; education, conflict and peace; and critical education with decolonial thinking. He is currently undertaking his PhD at the Institute of Education, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society, University College London. His thesis explores education for peace in the conflict-affected southern Thailand, where education has been politicised both by the Thai state and by the Malay-Muslim insurgents to promote their own political ideologies intertwined by nationalities, ethnicities, religions, historical narratives and languages.
