Charlotte Williams, Professor

Professor at Bangor University

Charlotte Williams OBE , FLSW is Professor Emeritus in the School of History, Law and Social Sciences, Bangor University. She is co-editor of the ground-breaking text ‘A Tolerant Nation? Revisiting Ethnic Diversity in Wales’ (UWP 2003 and 2015) and the recent text ‘Globalising Welsh Studies: Decolonising history, heritage, society and culture’’ (UWP 2024). In 2020 she led the Ministerial Working Group: Communities, Contributions and Cynefin: Black Asian Minority Ethnicities in the new curriculum'. She is a Non-Executive Director of Estyn, Advisory Board Member Black Leadership Group UK, Board member of Literature Wales and holds honorary appointments at Wrexham University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and University of South Wales.

Leon Andrews is DARPL's National Outreach Teacher and Senior Lecturer at CMet; currently seconded from Llanwern High School, the first recipients of the Betty Campbell Award for promoting the contributions and perspectives of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities at the National Teaching Awards Cymru 2022.
