Cecilia Zuniga-Montanez is a research associate at the University of Sheffield, working on a project exploring the impacts of Covid-19-related disruptions on children’s language, socioemotional and educational outcomes. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and has previously worked on various projects investigating typical and atypical language development at the University of Leeds and the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. She has also worked as an early year’s teacher and as a support worker for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Her research focuses mainly on infant and child language and cognitive development, language delays, and vocabulary interventions.
