Dr Catherine Carroll is a Senior Lecturer in Education at St Mary’s University in Middlesex. She has over twenty five years of teaching and research experience in schools (mainstream and special) and higher education; lecturing in education and psychology. Her specific teaching and research interests focus on inclusive education (specifically the education of students with additional needs and students in care of the local authority), knowledge exchange between practitioners and researchers in schools and universities and the provision of professional supervision for educators. She recently published guidance for schools on staff supervision and embedding a culture of professional supervision ‘by teachers, for teachers’, to support teacher wellbeing. Catherine’s research has been published in international peer reviewed journals and professional publications. She is a school governor and trustee for a multi academy trust
