Executive Director of Research and Best Practice at National Institute of Teaching

Dr Calum Davey is the Executive Director for Research and Best Practice at the National Institute of Teaching. He is the PI of a Nuffield Foundation project, TIDE, which is looking at how schools’ data can be used more effectively for insights into teaching. Methodologically, he is interested in reasoned ways of using research effectively and focuses substantively on the evaluating programmes for the development of executive leaders. He joined the NIoT from an academic career at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he focused on evaluations of complex interventions in health, disability-inclusion and education.
