Dr Ayo Mansaray is a senior lecturer in Sociology of Education & Policy, King’s College London. His substantive research interests span topics in urban education, education policy, and latterly the educational formation and identities of Black doctoral students, and undergraduate attainment gaps in healthcare programmes. Theoretically, his work is informed by Bourdieusian concerns with forms of social and cultural structuring, coupled with a micro-sociological sensitivity to the generative power of social interaction as a locus of agency and processes of mutual influence.
