Amy is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education at the Sheffield Institute of Education (SIoE), Sheffield Hallam University. She leads both the Mathematics Education and Science Education degrees (with QTS) and contributes to the PGCE secondary mathematics route. Her doctoral research studies the identity negotiation of early career mathematics teachers within their school and policy contexts. Her contributions to research studies, including for the Royal Society and EEF, have focused on mathematics teacher professional learning, subject knowledge, and subject pedagogical knowledge.
