Amanda McCrory is an Associate Professor of Ethics in Science Education at the Institute of Education, University College London. She is a researcher whose publications and standing in the field have been built around a) ethics and socio-scientific issues in science education, b) primary science pedagogy and teacher education, and c) equality, diversity and inclusion in science education.
She was the co-editor for the Journal of Emergent Science for four years, where she led the peer-review process as well as supported both national and international early career researchers (as well as more experienced researchers) to publish their research.
She is the research lead for the Institute of Education’s Science special interest group at the University College London and a co-convenor of the BERA STEAM special interest group. Amanda is also a Dignity Advisor, Mental Health First Aider and Wellbeing Champion.
