Opportunity: Applications invited for Lecturers in Education, University College Dublin

Applications are invited for (up to) three permanent appointments as Lecturer (above the bar) in Education, located within the UCD School of Education.
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to contribute significantly to the development of their field(s) in both research and teaching, including expanding and deepening our offerings across our professional, post graduate and doctoral programmes. The School is especially interested in receiving applications from those whose interests may include but are not limited to: Assessment; Inclusive education; Language, literacy and numeracy; School Leadership; School transitions; Philosophy of education; Psychology (community psychology, human development, well-being, neuropsychology). Successful candidates will be expected to apply their expertise across all sectors of education from early years through to secondary education.
The successful candidate (s) will be offered a permanent academic appointment and be eligible for Tenure. Note: Lecturer(s) in UCD must have successfully completed a (1 year) probation and (up to 3 years) induction period to be eligible to apply for the award of tenure.
Note: It is envisaged interviews will take place in the first half of February 2016. The appointed Lecturer will ideally commence in post on 1 September 2016.
Salary Scale: €50,807 – €76,936 per annum.
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
