The Department of Education and Professional Studies (DEPS), in the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy, wishes to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in International Education.
The postholder will lead the development of, direct and make a significant contribution to the teaching of a new Masters programme in International Education to be developed in association with Nord Anglia Education. They will conduct high quality research in the area of international education and contribute to the research and publications profile of the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) and the wider Department.
DEPS is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in teaching and research and in the recent Research Excellence Framework was ranked second in the UK for research excellence (see http://www.kcl.ac.uk/sspp/departments/education/index.aspx).
Nord Anglia Education is an international non-selective provider of K-12 English medium education based on the British style (offering iGSCEs and the IB Diploma). The organisation runs 42 schools in 15 countries across China, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South East Asia, altogether serving over 35,000 students and employing over 3000 teachers.
Applicants should have expertise in international education and a strong research and publications track record. They should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, experience of Masters level teaching and supervision and a student-centred approach. Applicants for the SL post should also be able to show evidence of strong academic and research leadership potential.
