The University of Sussex is offering fully funded  ESRC studentships for doctoral research in Education. Awards are for 3 or 4 years full-time equivalent and include full payment of fees plus a maintenance grant of £13,726 (2013 figure – pro rata for part time students). The core research interests are reflected in its research centres:

• Centre for International Education (CIE)

• Centre for Higher Education and Equity Research (CHEER)

• Centre for Teaching and Learning Research (CTLR)

• Centre for Innovation and Research in Childhood and Youth (CIRCY)

Studentships are awarded on a competitive basis within the University – last year four came to the School of Education and Social Work.
