Call for Research Participants – The Research Base
The Royal Society and British Academy have commissioned The Research Base to organise a series of focus groups across the UK in May and early June 2017. This research will contribute to evidence being gathered by the two organisations as they examine how best to create the conditions that will allow high quality research to flourish and have a transformative impact on education in the UK and internationally.
They are seeking teachers, researchers and policy-makers to participate in discussions to explore a range of issues such as the present and future priorities for educational research and the mechanisms by which research may best be accessed and used.
A total of 12 focus groups will take place across the UK. Locations include: Belfast, Cardiff, Coventry, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Sheffield and York.
Focus Group Information
Each discussion is expected to last approximately 90 minutes and we hope to include a variety of policymakers, researchers and people within the teaching profession at all levels. We are looking to discuss education research related to: primary, secondary and FE.
Upcoming discussions will take place in the following locations:
- 30th May: Belfast and Glasgow
- 31st May: Edinburgh
- 1st June: York and Exeter
- 2nd June: Sheffield
- Further discussions in London and Cardiff will take place in early June.
